The Importance of Being Earnest

  • After completing the shell the foam was prepped for tufting and covered

  • The fabric was glued to the shell with Super 77

  • Back cushions were stapled and seat cushions were screwed from underneath

  • Gold cording and trim was hot glued to the shell

  • Painted MDF was added to the top to complete the pouffe

Bedroll

Miss You Like Hell

  • This bed has gone through 3 iterations

  • The first was built for a small platform with a locally sourced comforter

  • The comforter was shortened to fit the platform

  • The platform was later cut and foam was salvaged to fit the new unit

  • A bedspread was made from scratch to fit the new bed

  • The final iteration was shortened and removed the foam base

  • Old Webbing and coils were replaced with aircraft cable to reduced the seat sinking

  • Based off of research images, we sourced fabric to best match

  • The panels were sewn and sewn together with pipping

  • Previous cushions were reused and sewn into the new covers

  • Tables from stock had padding added to the top for comfort of actors climbing on top of

  • Top fabric was stapled to avoid slippage

  • Swags, rosettes, and jabots were attached to disguise the seam between the top and front

Curtains

The Addams Family

  • The pattern of the fabric was matched to achieve enough width for 100% fullness

  • The curtains were hemmed and gathered

  • Grommets were later added to mount the curtains

  • Swags were stapled onto 1x4 mounts
