With the sample approved, a dark scumble was applied, 3 shades of yellow were rolled on then spattered

Lettering was sketched then painted on

Wet drips were added after lettering dried

Clay covered the base to add texture

A yellow wash and dark brown wash was applied over the clay

Two glazes were scumbled on then scumbled again with a tan brown and dark grey paint

The pipe was spray painted silver then aged with glossy wood tone

Rubber dirt glued on with spray adhesive

The sample was drawn and painted for approval then transferred to the glass

The flowers were built up over several layers to adhere to the glass

Ripped painters tape was laid down before scumbling

Grout lines followed the negative space left by the painters tape

To ensure the final medallion went as smoothly as possible a few practice ones were painted to check technique
